Lawton Pattern's
ability to perform reverse engineering on an existing shape is a
service that has become invaluable to many of our customers because
of the drastic reduction in time and costs that the process affords.
The process involves "digitizing" (seen below) an existing shape
and using our Pro Engineer software to create a model. The process
is enhanced by our ability to create tool paths from the model that
are sent to our 5-axis router. To this point, Lawton Pattern offers
nothing incredibly unique. It is our ability to enhance the machining
process by utilizing the programmed tool paths developed during
the reverse engineering process that affords our customer true value.
